This little sorrel Arabian mare came to us emaciated. She is very pretty and sweet and has put on weight very well. She has a bit more filling out in the hips to do to my eye, but she just needs proper feed for a horse her age, two flakes of hay a day morning and night and soaked pellets and senior feed morning and night. We also floated her teeth, got her shots utd, got her feet trimmed and general vetting. She is healthy and sound. Her rear left ankle had swollen after some fit throwing with the horsey dentist. Wrapped it for a few hours, absorbined it a few times, and it went away. She is just a great kids horse and companion. No rider over 125 lbs would be very good for her in my opinion. We will be selling her carefully. We did rescue her, but none of this exotic, martyr based "rehoming." We fixed her up and now we are SELLING her, to a great home, unless of course we remain the best place for her. So in doing that, I would like to see pictures or visit your home, and also need to check a reference from the vet you use. I also need to know who your farrier is or who you plan it to be. This little mare only needs her feet trimmed Her mane is very long and pretty. She has a nice little gait on her. Probably past her prime for serious eventing, but she would sure trot around the barrels for a youngster under haulin butt age. She needs to go somewhere that is interested in seeing her live her life out at a healthy weight and in comfort, loved for her beautiful little face and good heart. She is some little girl's DREAM.
