I have a Table Saw that was Manufactured in 1888, making it 128 years old.
It was made by the Beach, Brown & Co. Montrose, PA.
The following quote from VintageMachinery.org
"Henry L. Beach was an important maker of scrollsaws who had been in business under his own name since the late 1860s. In 1887 or 1888 he entered into a partnership with someone named Brown (Brown's identify being, as yet, unknown to us) and operated as Beach, Brown & Co. They introduced a tablesaw to Beach's original line of machinery. "
The saw is fully operational with a 12 inch 80 tooth Bosch, alternate top bevel blade installed.
Width of cut is 16.5 inches, Depth of cut is 2.75 inches.
Machinery from this era was powered by a large flat belt from an overhead pully and shaft system from above, this table saw has been converted and is now powered by a Dayton, 5 HP/220-240 volt, 23.5 Amp, 6K757A electric motor.
It has a very long power cord.
As seen in the photos, it is mounted on wooden skids with metal wheels for maneuverability.
I would estimate that it weighs more than 500 pounds.
Remember, this is 220/240 Volt ! ! ! ! NOT 110 Volt.
