I have a 12" orion hhca sub/Subwoofer it is about a year old barely even broke in yet. The sub has minor damage on the cone and does not affect the sub at all. I blast it everyday and it works fine. Also a 2,000 watt 4 channel US AMPS amp it is clear on one side. The sub is also enclosed in a 12" Super bass pro box. This sub is extremely loud and hits VERY hard.
