This is a piece of Alabama memorbilia that I would bet that you don't have because there are fewer than 100 of them in the hands of the public. This is the "First Collectors Edition" of Alabama Coloring Book. THE FIRST UNIVERSITY of ALABAMA COLORING BOOK. It was printed in 1990 and as far as I know it was the first ever child's coloring book for the University of Alabama.
It was presented to the public on October 27, 1990 at the Alabama vs Penn State game. Fewer than 100 were sold.
There are 24 inside pages on white text weight paper with pages for a child to color, word finds, things to count, and a matrix to find ones way through. It has a four page card weight cover. It might be a neat gift for a kindergarten or first grade class as a whole . . . or maybe as a novelty gift for the forty or fifty year old Alabama fanatical fan who thinks he has every piece of Alabama collectible ever made. These are old books, but they have never been used. In some instances there may be some slight yellowing of the paper or pages.
