Our vintage vase stands about 10 inches tall. The diameter at both the top and bottom is about 4.25 inches. It has a concave shape. On the front of the vase in white lettering, it says:
15th Anniversary
TERRYVILLE Furniture STORE
1924--1939
PROP. HARRY SIMON
The advertisement features a drawing of the store, which was located in the Terryville section of Plymouth, CT. According to a newspaper article we reviewed online in The Hartford Courant, Terryville Furniture Store closed in 1994 after 70 years in business.
The vase has been used and there are some marks in the glass. There are some rough spots along the rim which represent small flea bites. The lettering and design appear to be intact. We do not find any manufacturer's mark on the vase.
