Noritake Co., Limited, commonly known as "Noritake," grew out of a trading company established in Tokyo and in New York City by the Morimura Brothers in 1876. Many collectors agree that the best examples of ?Nippon-era? (1) hand painted porcelain carry a back stamp used by "Noritake" during the Nippon era. The "M in a wreath" mark was used between 1914 until 1940.
These Egg Cups measure approximately 3", about 2 1/4" opening on wide end and almost 2" at bottom end. Raised gold banding going around each cup and two beautiful periwinkle lustreware band circling the cup also. Beautiful and elegant! Hand-Painted, Rare Find.They also bear a mark that was only used between 1914 -1940.
