Anderson Knight is looking to recruit an Underwriter on a full-time permanent basis for one of our clients based in Glasgow.

As an Underwriter at you will play a vital role in assessing and evaluating financial risks associated with various loan applications and insurance policies. You will be responsible for analysing financial data, conducting risk assessments, and making informed decisions to approve or decline applications. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of financial markets, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate and analyse financial documents, credit reports, and other relevant information to assess risk and determine loan eligibility or insurance policy approval. Utilize underwriting guidelines to make sound decisions on loan applications or insurance policies. Communicate effectively with loan officers, insurance agents, and other stakeholders to gather additional information or clarify application details. Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, market trends, and underwriting standards. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns from clients and stakeholders. Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions and application details. Collaborate with team members to streamline underwriting processes and improve efficiency. Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance underwriting skills and knowledge. Qualifications:
