A most interesting TVR, possibly a development prototype of the Tuscan S.

It was registered on 1 March 2000 as a Tuscan S and the cars comprehensive service history does not contain any suggestion that the car was retrospectively modified, hence the probability that this car was an early development S. The main differences from the standard Tuscan being improved steering geometry, a rear wing for additional stability and an extra 30bhp.

The Tuscan looks magnificent in Chianti Starmist with contrasting magnolia leather and mulberry trim. Matching mulberry carpets complete the interior. It is all in very good condition save for some wear to the driver's carpet.

The bodywork is in excellent shape and the paintwork is generally very good with just the odd age related mark There is some bubbling behind the heat extractors on the scuttle but that is very common on Tuscans.

The mileage is very low at 26,500 and is backed up by the complete service history. It has been well looked after by specialists throughout its life and has lacked for nothing. The bills are on file.

The engine is understood to be a Red Rose upgrade and the car also has the Quaife Hydratrak ATB differential. Tuscan's historically suffer from cylinder head troubles but this car had the head rebuilt under warranty at Hendon TVR after 5185 miles.

The alloy wheels are unmarked and are shod with nearly new Goodyear Eagle tyres.

It is a most impressive car to drive. The 4 litre straight six provides a glorious soundtrack and it is seriously fast with 390+ bhp on tap delivering a 0-60 time of just 3.9 seconds.

The steering is very quick with roadholding and braking to match. The gearbox is a joy to use and the ride is surprisingly good. Serious driver input is required to get the best out of the car but it is immensely rewarding.
