Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Trusts and Grants Officer to join our Fundraising team.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual, experienced in securing significant income which will allow us to grow and impact more lives of unpaid carers in Surrey!

Main aims of the role:

As a key member of our Fundraising Team, you will work collaboratively with other teams across the organisation including care operations, finance, marketing, and communications.

Build and maintain strong relationships with funders to secure essential unrestricted income, as well as funding for specific projects.

Maximise the grant needs of Crossroads Care Surrey, whilst working with key audiences and a wide range of stakeholders, to build a pipeline of opportunities to meet the financial targets set.

Identify, cultivate, and create compelling and persuasive trusts and foundation applications and steward new and existing supporters. Providing feedback on all funded projects both verbally and in writing to supporting partners as required, and to agreed timelines.

What we can offer you:

• Salary of circa. GBP30,000 per annum

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• Two years experience in a similar role.

• Understanding and knowledge of the Trust and Foundations sector, effective trust fundraising techniques, and awareness of legislation and regulation relevant to the role.

• A proven track record of research and identifying funding.

• A proven track record high-quality written applications that have achieved demonstrable results.

• Expert at managing a pipeline of multiple prospects, keeping abreast of their stages of progression and next action.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create innovative and persuasive bids.

• Proven ability to work on own initiative, managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.

• Knowledge of using a CRM database.

• Computer literate word processing and database skills are essential.

• Proactive, self-motivated, and innovative, capable of working on their own and as part of a team.

• Live in Surrey or its surrounding area.

• Clean driving licence and reliable vehicle.

• Willingness to travel.

• Passionate about the work we do.
