BECOME OUR NEW TREASURER AND HELP US FIGHT LGBTQ+ HOMELESSNESS
Treasurer (Unpaid Role)
Stonewall Housing works exclusively with LGBTQ+ people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and we have ambitious plans to help more people access specialist advice, support and accommodation. To help us achieve this we are expanding our current Board of Trustees and are looking for a New Treasurer to join our team.
This is an exciting time for Stonewall Housing, we have developed an ambitious strategy which is focused on growth, influence and excellence and we are hoping you will be able to help us achieve our strategic aims.
We know that tens of thousands of LGBTQ+ people across the United Kingdom would benefit from our support and with your help we want to ensure that we can reach as many of them as possible.
We firmly believe that the Board should be made up of people who come from diverse backgrounds, with diverse experiences and with 13% of our service users trans, 8% non-binary and 57% people of colour, we are particularly aware that we require more representation from these groups.
We want to hear from people who are passionate about LGBTQ+ people. Passionate about making sure people have somewhere safe to call home and passionate about helping organisations succeed.
If you have not been a trustee before, please do not be put off applying. We will make sure you have a really good induction, have access to ongoing training opportunities and will buddy you up with an existing Trustee to help you get settled into your new role.
You will find lots more information about our mission and services in this recruitment pack. We have aimed to make the application process as simple as possible, however if you require further assistance, including reasonable adjustments that might be useful, please let us know.
For an informal, confidential conversation about the roles please contact our Chief Executive Steven McIntyre on [email protected]
To apply please send your CV and cover letter detailing your motivations and how you meet the requirements of the role via the link below.
Closing date for applications: Friday 26th January 2024.
