Proven experience as a Transport PlannerExperience of generating backloads is highly desirablePrevious Customer Service / account Management experience within a transport or road haulage operationStrong geographical knowledge of the UK road network.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transport planning systems, ideally MandataProven experience in customer service, account management, and transport planning.Ability to foster positive relationships with clients and internal teams. Key Responsibilities:–
Maintain and develop existing customer relationships, serving as their primary contact.Drive revenue targets by identifying and securing work from new third–party customers.Collaborate with the Distribution Manager to explore new transport opportunities through market research and outreach.Implement strategies to expand the customer base and ensure revenue targets are met.Guide new clients through the onboarding process and ensure seamless integration.Work closely with the Transport Planning team to ensure accurate customer consignments and compliance with regulations.
