Transport Planner job in Bedford, Bedfordshire
Transport Planner job available for a leading multidisciplinary practice of architects, engineers, planners and surveyors. Offering a salary of 35,000 DOE + Hybrid Working + Profit Share Scheme + Flexible Working.
As the Transport Planner you will be helping preparing transport assessments and travel planning applications working on various residential and non-residential projects around the UK.
Role and Responsibilities
- Preparing Transport Assessments and Travel Plans to support planning applications and undertaking the supporting assessments
- Working on various residential and non-residential projects around the UK, from small, private developers to national house builders and master planning schemes
- Liaising and communicating with the wider engineering team
- Input into draft site masterplans to ensure layouts accommodate highway requirements
- Liaison with clients and third-party consultants/council officers attending meetings where required
- Liaising directly with clients when necessary.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of UK highway design/transport planning policies
- Strong Junctions 10 and LINSIG software knowledge
- Preparation of Gravity Models
- Full UK Driving licence
- Inputting into draft site masterplans to ensure layouts accommodate highway requirements.
