Job Title: Transport Planner

Location: Birmingham

Salary: up to GBP32,000, based on experience + uncapped commission

Shift: Days, Monday to Friday

Join our clients dynamic and growing transportation company, dedicated to excellence in the transport sector. We are seeking for a Transport Coordinator to help identify and seize new opportunities, build lasting customer relationships, and drive revenue growth. Our fleet consists of approximately 25 articulated vehicles, serving various industries nationwide.

As a Transport Coordinator, your primary responsibility is to identify and secure transportation opportunities within the transport/manufacturing sector. This includes filling returning trailers, establishing primary legs from new or existing clients, and nurturing customer relationships through exceptional service and effective communication.

We are looking for a candidate who can hit the ground running with pre-existing industry contacts. To succeed in this role, you should be highly motivated, results-driven, and an excellent communicator. You'll be working with a fleet that includes Curtainsiders, Skele's and Fridges.

Duties of a Transport coordinator:

Proactively approach potential clients to assess available transport opportunities.Establish mutually beneficial agreements between our company and clients.Cultivate and strengthen relationships with existing clients while optimizing rates.Identify and target empty legs within existing routes.Efficiently upload all load details onto our planner.Perform various transport administration duties as required Skills and experience of a Transport coordinator:

Fluent in English.Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar transport planner/coordinator position.Strong negotiation skills within parameters provided by the company to enhance rates.Exceptional communication skills with a professional phone manner.Attention to detail.Ability to resolve problems and address customer concerns swiftly and effectively.Proficiency with PC and Microsoft programs.A valid driving license.
