Position Overview:
As a Training Courseware Designer, you will be responsible for developing DSAT-compliant documentation for military training within a standardised design process. Working under the guidance of a Senior Courseware Designer and reporting to the Training Design Team Manager, you will contribute to the analysis, design, maintenance, review, and production of DSAT Documentation and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with a team to analyse, design, maintain, review, and produce DSAT Documentation for military training.Lead or contribute to the development of Training Design, from Formal Training Statement (FTS) to Assessment Strategy (AStrat) in DSAT-compliant course templates.Interview subject matter experts to gather essential data for courseware development.Participate in internal workshops to discuss and align with analysis findings.Maintain and update course syllabi, standards, and trainer qualifications.Respond to new training requirements, ensuring alignment with operational/workplace performance requirements.Incorporate feedback from internal and external assurance to keep training materials up-to-date.Identify opportunities for accreditation of new/amended training courses.Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
Excellent communication skills at all levels, both internally and within the customer organisation.Experience in course design, contributing to the design of significant training courses.Strong knowledge of training design and development processes for training media.Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.Desirable:
Experience in the use of program management tools and applications.Training/Instructional Design experience with detailed knowledge of UK Ministry of Defence procedures and policies, and Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT).Practical experience in the development and delivery environment of significant training courses.
