About the role:
The Trainer Assessor is responsible for providing high quality subject / workshop delivery and learning support for the allocated subject area. Team working and communications within an overall approach that values people will be of key importance for providing high quality support to the Sector in order to enable the College to meet the above broad objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Co-ordinate and manage learning across your specialism, including subject/workshop delivery to groups of students and preparation and development of course materials. Work with the curriculum team to develop and implement the curriculum Be fully involved in the recruitment and selection of appropriate candidates for the course, contributing to marketing activities ad attending any open evenings, taster sessions and school visits Carry out assessments in the workshop and/or within the workplace, of both practical and written work as required. Communicate with employers as necessary to make appropriate arrangements, and ensure compliance with awarding body requirements. Produce and keep up to date any necessary documentation, including assessment plans. Support students with their learning, including holding one to one support meetings and reviews. Monitor and record student retention, progression, achievement and success, using College procedures, documentation and systems. Ensure that statistical returns, including monitoring and tracking retention rates, examination results, student progress, placements and destination reports are all completed accurately and in accordance with required timescales To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:
Professional qualification in related subject to level 3 Appropriate Assessor/Verifier qualification, or willingness to undertake Relevant and up to date industrial and/or subject related experienceExperience of delivering training and/or assessing in accordance with awarding body requirements Diversity and Inclusion
