We have an exciting opportunity to join a great client of ours as a trainee GCMS Lab Technician

The key objectives of the role are the operation, maintenance and calibration of GCMS instruments. Developing new analytical methods and libraries and carrying out other administrative duties.

Full training will be given, but an interest in raw materials, composition of products, chemistry, chromatography, analytical techniques and or operating and maintain GCMS systems would be an advantage.

Duties Include:

To prepare and run samples on analytical instrumentation in accordance with project priorities.Maintenance & trouble shooting of instruments.Administrative duties – including maintaining logs and stocks of consumable supplies.Working with the team to develop new analytical methods.Sample preparation and data entry to build new libraries and expand on own knowledge of raw materials.General housekeeping of the GCMS laboratory.Performing weekly calibrations. Skills desired

Excellent attention to detail.Team Spirit.Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines in a calm manner.Good Communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel. Ideally you will be able to start ASAP.
