Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Trainee Dental Nurse to join our Bay Portman Dental Clinic, in Lancaster.

About the role and practice

Located in Lancaster the Bay Dental Clinic is a high quality, primarily private practice and has been providing dentistry for over 30 years to the people of Lancashire. We provide clinical excellence in dentistry and our renowned services and dental expertise are utilised in our skilled approach to the individual needs of each and every patient.

No previous dental experience is needed for this role. If you have a genuine interest in health and well-being, possess a specific interest in dentistry and have an aptitude to learn, grow and develop, we want to hear from you. At Portman Dental Care you will have the resources and support you need to help you succeed in becoming a fully qualified Dental Nurse

What in it for you?

Full-time hours - 40 hours (Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm)

Training supported by our highly experienced team - your course will be overseen by an external course provider and is fully funded by Portman

Permanent placement upon successful completion of course (average course duration is around 18 months)

What do we look for in our Trainee Nurses?

2 x GCSE Maths & English at grade C or above (or modern equivalent 4 or above) are essential to undertake the course

You are a team player and a good communicator who thrives upon delivering excellent standards of patient care comes naturally to you

You will be a key player in the team providing chair side assistance, ensuring that the correct materials and equipment are available during each clinical session

You will learn to perform high quality dental nursing whilst assisting each dentist, hygienist or therapist in all procedures.

You will be excited to undergo training as required to develop your skills and abilities
