Location: London (with an option to work from home part-time)
Salary: cGBP30,000 per annum (dependent on qualification and experience)

Trainee Actuary The Role:
Using financial and statistical techniques, actuaries help solve business problems by looking at future events, the likelihood of them happening, when they might happen and how much money businesses will need to be put aside to cover costs should the event happen.
As part of the actuarial team you will work on our growing client base to deliver services to pension scheme trustees and sponsoring employers, with a view to you taking increasing responsibility for tasks under the mentoring of more senior members of the team.
Trainee Actuary Key Responsibilities:
- Completing mathematical calculations such as individual member calculations, actuarial valuations for pension schemes, company accounting disclosures as well as assisting with the drafting of actuarial documents and other communications
- You will have opportunities to develop your consulting skills through involvement in helping to deliver pensions consultancy services to our clients
- Drafting trustee reports, member benefit communications and member newsletters and helping our administration teams with complex member cases.
Trainee Actuary You:
- You will be a graduate in a numerate subject, prepared to study towards relevant professional exams which will support your progress and development
- We are looking for candidates with a strong mathematical ability, with excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and an aptitude for delivering over and above what is expected
You will also need to demonstrate exceptional communication skills and be a good team player
