General purpose (braked) road trailer, fitted with standard 50mm hitch. Trailer has marine ply base and sides secured into ridged steel frame.
The rear tailgate drops down to make loading and unloading easier. Tailgate is secured with drop nose pins and spring clips for extra security.
Lighting is built into trailer with protective metal surrounds around rear lights.
Braking works off tow hitch inertia (when vehicle brakes trailer hitch pushes backward applying pressure to brake cable and applies drum brakes.
Trailer has hand brake for security when not attached to vehicle.
When reversing, a metal latch (on hitch) is positioned over the hitch draw bar to prevent brakes being applied.
Mudguards are made of ridged plastic.
An adjustable jockey wheel on A frame makes it easy to move around.
The trailer has a fitted internal container for carrying ropes and bungee cords when not in use.
There is a pvc cover for protecting trailer contents when towing/ driving.
In addition, there is a heavy duty cover, which covers the entire trailer when not in use for longer periods (particularly useful if storing trailer outside). This cover needs some minor repairs but is still usable and has many years of life left in it.
Suspension is standard isolastic type.
Dimensions of the Trailer load area (box) are approximately 5’ long and 42” wide and 18” deep.
This trailer is ideal for general garden/ home use, carry camping equipment etc etc, a good all rounder.
There is no max load limit stamped on the trailer, but as a braked trailer, it has been designed to carry heavier loads unlike the more common unbraked trailers, and has been used for transporting building materials, garden topsoil etc.
