Trinity Business Support are currently looking for a Tooling Technician for our client based in Spennymoor.
Due to an increase in business, our client is now looking to add to their Tooling Department.
Duties:
Maintain the all-tool fitting equipment, ensure equipment is safe before use and is also left safe for the next user. Report all tool issues identified whilst tool fitting. Carryout maintenance on machine chests, seal, spray frames and other Communicate all concerns from tool and machine condition and safety concerns, take appropriate action within your competency level to fix concerns. Assist with training in fitting when required to do so Carryout the setup of machines and to understand the process in full Complete the first drop sample of parts on your tool fit to ensure there are no issues with the tool fit. Understand the first off procedure and support the process Able to prep and de-prep tools, to understand the process and support when required Maintain your machines in line with the machine ownership programme, improving the visual appearance and functionality of your machines. To complete all tool fits and insert changes safely and to a high standard within the required timescales Complete any reasonable requests issued by the team leader including but not limited to, break cover, tech duties, 5S, housekeeping and repair work Tool preparation:
Carryout tool maintenance to schedule Ensure all tools are labelled and stored correctly Support the NPI process by inspecting new tooling upon arrival and report any issues. Complete tool overhauls and services, e.g. re-securing cavities, re-drilling and re-tapping damaged or stripped bolts and adding core vents etc. Maintain all equipment including gun refurbishment, receiver frames, spray frames, bead pipes, airlines and backloading frames. Conduct monthly stock checks and advise of any shortages. Assist with training in tool prep when required to do so. Can complete all tool fits and insert changes safely and to a high standard within the required timescales, to support the team when needed Ability to setup a machine and understand the process in full Must have:
Injection Moulding Experience Hand power tool experience Lifting Equipment experience FLT is desirable but not essential Welding Experience is desired but not essential Shifts:
Monday to Friday
Two-shift rotation - 06.00-14.00 & 14.00-22.00
37.5hrs per week
Pay:
Starting salary 23,965.50
When fully trained 29.932.50
