Job Title: Tool Setter (Injection Moulding)

Working Days/ Hours: Mon – Fri, 06:00 – 14:00, 14:00 – 22:00, 22:00 – 06:00

Salary: GBP36671 (inclusive of shift allowance)

The Role:

To ensure that all Injection Moulding machinery is set to process the correct product, colour changes are made and quality standard is met

Key Responsibilities/ Daily Duties:

Setting tools in presses and their start up in line with production requirementsStart and Stop Injection Moulding PressesPrepare Tools and Equipment in advance of a Tool ChangeSling and Lift Tools using CranesPresentation of 1st off part to Quality Department for 1st off processAdhering to company Quality and work proceduresSet up robot heads and load programmesReporting faults to tool–room / maintenance in accordance with company proceduresEnsure accurate completion of job packs prior to and at Tool ChangeRecording deviationsTroubleshooting and supporting process improvements as directed by the Process EngineerResponsible for safety checks, housekeeping in and around machine areas, routine maintenance checks where specified – always being aware of the safety of other employeesParticipate in SMED activitiesWork to and report KPI targets/results with respect to Tool Change times and OEE dataAdditional Responsibilities for EPP setters include Tool Maintenance and Preparation, along with basic plant and equipment maintenance.Perform colour changesAny other projects or tasks assigned to you by management team The Candidate:

Experience/Qualifications Required:

Experience with Injection Moulding, Robots and Processes such as Gas Injection, Low Pressure Injection, Foil Moulding and In–Mould Cloth are essential.Hold or be actively pursuing an NVQ Level 2 in Injection Moulding and Tool Setting.
