Therapeutic Lead
Mid and North Devon
Part time (2 days per week) Permanent position Salary up to £50,000 FTE Please Note: Applicants must be authorised to work in the UK
About the Role:
As our Therapeutic Lead, you'll play a crucial role in providing therapeutic care to children and young people within our care who have experienced trauma, by embedding our trauma recovery model (TRM) across our homes and teams.
Within your role, you will support Registered Managers in creating child -centred care plans and trauma focused positive behaviour plans, ensuring that regulations are being followed at all times. You will support staff teams and design training to meet their professional needs.
You will need to build relationships with all the young people in our care, to enable a better understanding of the support they need. You will liaise with local authorities, health and other professionals involved with each young person, and attend all necessary meetings requested by the Register Managers or Directors.
This role will involve working across our homes in North and Mid Devon. The role will be permanent and part-time, although this may increase as the organisation grows.
As a Therapeutic Lead, you will:
Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience working with children and young people who have suffered trauma Hold a Mental Health Nursing or Psychology Degree Be motivated to support children & young people who have suffered trauma Have a theoretical and practical understanding of SEMHD Be passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people Be looking for a role with a caring and supportive company who place the child at the centre of everything we do Hold a full UK driving licence
