Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a Project Support Officer for an initial 6 month contract with potential to extend on a rate of GBP200-GBP250/day (Inside IR35). This role will be hybrid working with 2 days in the office per week.Responsibilities:- Support project testing briefing contributions, including upkeep of live testing documents, ensuring complex technical language is available in "plain English".- Work with the programme team to support life-cycle delivery of multi-modal, public transport smart projects (products, services or schemes) from procurement through UAT & OAT testing to delivery- Develop, produce and manage project related communications activities, as well as support for internal and external communications as required and working with Communications leads.- You will lead scheduling and managing of meetings, stakeholder engagement sessions including secretariat notes / minutes, both internal and external, in complex and demanding environments.- You will ensure that key stakeholders are fully aware of and briefed on all project related activities, including leading on developing key messages and narrative.- Direct support for Senior, Project Managers and others in the team to enable delivery a range of smart projects, which meet the organisation's goals and wider agendas- Working within a PMO environment, support Project Managers and the Programme Support Officer with key project management documentation including project initiation documents, project plans, risk and mitigation logs and on-going monitoring and evaluation- Support delivery to Digital Scotland Service Standards, including recording, maintenance and management of key testing documentation as required- Support for ad hoc work, commensurate to the role, to support overall team deliveryEssential Skills:- Experienced supporting project delivery, through UAT & OAC including development, management and maintenance of all testing and project documentation - Experience of writing communications for internal and external audiences with high quality English- Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and the ability to facilitate and support meetings, including secretariat duties- Ability to identify and resolve issues, or understand when to escalate for resolution at senior level- Excellent organisational and administration skills in MS Project, excel, word, Visio etc and with a can-do attitude.- Improving Performance- Communications and Engagement Leading Others - Analysis and Use of EvidenceIf you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
