Test Engineer - R&D
Location: Site based in Leeds (Full time permanent role)
My client is a successful market leading laboratory & scientific services provider who partner with the top 10 pharmaceutical & medical device organisations globally to enable their life saving scientific research and discovery!
This is a brand new role where you will play a key role in ensuring that the continued success and high standards of our client's medical device product testing are achieved!

In the Test Engineer - R&D role, you will be responsible for:
Undertake tribological/mechanical/numerical analysis and product functionaltesting in support of product development and medical device submissionsTranslate mechanical/tribological scenarios into mechanical/tribological test proceduresApply investigative skills to evaluate testing opportunitiesUndertake technical and departmental projects including the introduction of newtest equipment to the requirements of applicable processesConduct training of other staff, contractors or visitors as required.Assist in the development and design of lab processes, procedures and workinstructionsDeliver all work within the requirements of the lab quality system.Adhere to company health and safety policies.Contribute to peer reviewed publications as requiredParticipate in and run research work as required The requirements for the Test Engineer - R&D role:
Previous experience in a similar Engineer/Technician role with hands on experience of performing mechanical Tensile testing (tension testing) in a manufacturing environmentYour industry experience will ideally be medical device/scientific based but other manufacturing sectors such as civil aviation, automotive, machinery manufacturing, electronics, food & beverage or related sectors that use tensile testingEducated with a HND or equivalent qualification in an engineering subjectA team player who understands the value of cooperative and collaborative work environmentA professional demeanor and effective communicator at all levelsSolutions focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills Salary & Benefits:
Base Salary Circa GBP28,000 - GBP38,000 (DOE)PensionLife Cover (2x Base Salary)Laptop & PhoneFree Onsite Parking25 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays You must have full right to work in the UK without requiring any form of visa sponsorship and live in a commutable distance to our clients site in Leeds.
