Internal Job Title: Tendering and Design Engineer Company: Lucy Zodion Ltd Location: Sowerby Bridge We are currently looking for a Tendering and Design Engineer with experience in Electrical Design to work with us, Lucy Zodion. You would be working with a small supportive team that values accountability, collaboration and teamwork. You will be working in the design, estimation and tendering stages of the sales cycle for LV distribution and Equipped Pillar products. Role Description: You will be responsible for understanding the customer requirements with regards to equipped pillars. You will create General Arrangement drawings, wiring schematics and Bills of Material and from those identify costs and submit quotations to customers. You will also be working with the manufacturing team to ensure a safe product of the expected quality is produced cost effectively and delivered in a timely manner. Responsibilities: Create product drawing packages in line with customer specifications. Create quotations and submit to customers. Specify components to create accurate Bills of Material. Ensure that margins for tenders are in line the business objectives of 40% profitability. Design product for manufacture to ensure efficient production of equipped pillars. Review drawing packages with the Equipped Pillar senior electrician. Review manufacturing issue feedback sheets and put in place corrective actions to prevent repeat occurrences. Update drawings where necessary to reflect the as built status of the PWP after any agreed changes. Visit suppliers and customers as necessary. To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as required/instructed to maintain or improve the efficiency quality and service provided by the PWP business unit.Skills: Computer literate in Microsoft Office. Drawing package competency to enable creation of GA and wiring schematics. Design experience in electrical switchgear and systems. Experience of liaising with customers and interpreting their requirements. Good communicator Team focused Analytical and ability to problem solveEducation Level required: O Level in Mathematics, English and Sciences Competent in the use of Microsoft office HNC in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
