Description

We at Work Lyf Group are recruiting for a Technical Chemical Assessor for our well established client based in Burntwood.

The postholder will be the technical and commercial specialist holding the business relationship with each internal/external customer, with a clear focus on contract retention, growth, customer satisfaction and ensuring that compliance is part of the business at all stages.

Main Duties

Pricing and technical assessment of all incoming waste streams to all facilities in line with company operating procedures, sector guidance and operational requirements to deliver efficient, compliant proposals to internal/external clients and deliver revenues and gross margins set within the company business plan. Clearly communicate the assessment, routing and commercial information to all relevant stakeholders using the approved company systems.

Engage within the set team parameters to seek compliant external disposal routes for waste materials within scope of the supplier approval procedures. Clearly communicate and approve the use of these routes with colleagues in operational and logistical departments to deliver improved client service and recovery/disposal options available to the business.

Experience required:

Degree in Chemistry or equivalent waste technical skills

In depth knowledge of waste assessment legislation, guidance and industry custom & practice

A working knowledge of current disposal & recovery methods employed at the company sites and within the wider waste industry.

Solid Commercial knowledge (deal making) and experience of added value sales in the waste and recycling marketplace in the UK.

Person specification:

Demonstrate fact based intuitive internal and external business relationship building

Knowledge of waste legislation and the waste supply chain

Proven track record in professional customer service skills

Excellent Communication Skills to enable efficient working for everyone involved in the end to end company process

Excellent Team Working ethic and Organisational Skills

Hazardous Waste/Technical Waste Sales experience

Experience Negotiating with Customers and Suppliers

Systematic approach to carrying out duties and able to assimilate current and contribute to new company systems with a continuous improvement mind-set.

8a.m to 5p.m
