About the role:

Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with a large UK defence company to recruit a Technical Author to be based out of there Bristol office. As the Technical Author you'll be required to originate both Maintenance and Operational Procedures for in-service equipment as well as producing both structured and unstructured Technical Publications and be required to originate graphics and animations in compliance with international writing specifications and/or defence standards.

Key skills:Must have the skills to read and interpret technical drawings (and 3D CAD Models) and Bills of Materials to originate technical information.The Technical Author will require exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) and have a command of the 5Cs.Must hold or be able to obtain SC ClearanceHold a HND or equivalent although happy to consider someone with extensive experience.

Location, remuneration and timeframe of the Technical Author role:

Role is based in Bristol and offers hybrid and is office based.Role offers a Salary of up to 40p/h Umbrella.Will be a 12month contract to begin with.
