Tecalemit wall garage tyre pressure gauge

Retro item

Item was removed from OK Motor Services depot at Bishop Auckland when it was demolished

It had been fitted in the late 1930s when they got a Broomwade compressor installed in the old Bishop depot and was mounted and used at the exit of the garage for maintenance

The gauge had been painted over in thick red wall paint and covered in a thick layer of black soot

So after many nights of careful cleaning this glorious gauge appeared

Always had the idea to mount the gauge on a plaque and have a small brass plate made up with OK Motor Services Limited 1912 - but never got around to do it

I did have it tested and working when I first got it and it was more of wall art than a functional piece of equipment

Its never got rehung in the new shed as its time to let it go

I have shown a picture / photo of the place it was hung in the depot (1979) but if your a collector and have early photos there are some showing it closer up

Its approx 11 inches across and in good condition as per photos

Ideal if your a bus / memorabilia collector or Ok Motors collector / ex employee ?
