Hestia supports adults and children in crisis across London and the surrounding regions. We campaign and advocate nationally on the issues that affect them. This includes victims of modern slavery, women and children who have experienced domestic abuse, young care leavers and older people.

The main purpose of the role is to provide excellent quality support and interventions to clients experiencing or likely to experience a mental health crisis as an alternative to inpatient admission, to support clients to reduce their crisis and to make plans to avoid future crisis, to liaise with statutory and other voluntary sector providers of mental health services to promote multi-agency working for the benefit of the customers, to carry out support and interventions in line with organisational values and ethos of recovery and co-production, as well as in line with policies and procedures.
About The Role
To be supported by the Service Manager in the running and strategic development of Hestia's Greenwich service in line with the contractual requirements The operational hours of the service are evenings/nights, including weekends and on bank holidays. The service must be delivered 365 days per year To work closely with the Service Manager to ensure that Recovery Workers and Peer Support works listen and support people to de-escalate their immediate situation empowering them to develop self-management techniques, build their assets and advocate for their own wishes To be supported by the Service Manager in the development, implementation and maintenance of partnerships and engagement strategies for the Crisis Caf Service To develop joint working and monitoring protocols with key stakeholders and partners for both services and to be the main point of contact for ongoing joint working relationships in nominated borough service Supported by the Service Manager, to manage all elements of service performance related to the contract requirements for the Crisis Caf including analysis of KPIs, outcomes and user experience measures About You
Demonstrable experience of managing services for and with people with mental health and complex needs Demonstrable experience of recruitment, induction, supervision, motivation, appraisal, training, disciplinary and grievance issues Experience of performance monitoring and delivering consistently high service user standards Ability and experience of managing complex budgets Understanding of Mental Health Crisis Management and the delivery of services to meet their needs and aspirations including working with peer support workers Excellent knowledge of Community Care, Mental health, Health and Safety and welfare benefits legislation (including welfare reform) Understanding of working in partnership with statutory mental health services Knowledge of methods of assessing, formulating, implementing, recording, reviewing and monitoring service user support and assessment plans Ability to positively promote the organisation at external events, including delivering presentations and creating marketing material Please note if offered a role with Hestia, you will be issued a conditional offer based on satisfactory references and a Basic or Enhanced DBS check.
