We have an amazing opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to work for an outstanding independent specialist provision serving children and young people in Dunstable who live with their families, foster carers, or in residential children s homes. This amazing new school supports pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and a range of diagnosis. You will be mentoring and supporting one pupil or else a small group of no more than five pupils whilst supporting the Classroom Teacher during lessons.
Contract: Full time Term time only
Salary: GBP19,000 - GBP22,000 per annum
Candidates must have the following skills, experience, and qualifications as a minimum to be considered:
Have a strong basic education, ideally to A-level, with a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics, and sound IT skills. Previous experience in a similar role. Some previous experience working with pupils with SEMH within an Educational setting Experience in behaviour management and techniques Committed to professional development and willing to learn Must be willing to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to commencing work.
