Uppingham School is seeking to appoint a first-rate graduate to train as a teacher of Philosophy & Theology from September 2024.
This unique position would suit a recent graduate looking to train and qualify as a teacher whilst working. The person appointed will gain experience in a well-resourced department, working with a team of committed specialists.
The training year will involve completing a University of Buckingham PGCE, leading to Qualified Teacher Status at the end of the year whilst teaching a suitably reduced timetable. You will have full responsibility for your own classes during this training year, guided by your mentor, and will also undertake teaching placements in a different school setting.
About you
We are looking for a strong, dynamic and inspirational character with excellent subject knowledge, a strong degree and the ability to build an appropriate rapport with pupils.
