January/April 2024 Start date

We are looking to appoint an innovative, enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of History to work within an outstanding department to ensure that all students make excellent progress and achieve well at Key Stages 3 and 4. If you are a hard-working, ambitious teacher who holds QTS and has the ability to teach Maths across all key stages, please get in touch.

Aylward Academy is a community where inspirational teaching, self-evaluation and self-improvement are evident from the moment you enter our Academy. Our students are diverse, exciting and talented - and the same is true of our staff. We put huge emphasis on professional development, most of it in-house, and are proud of the high number of good and outstanding teachers who work in our school. We are also noted for our 'can do' attitude. We are proud to serve the communities around Enfield as an 11-18 school and we were judged as a 'Good academy' by Ofsted in July 2021.

Aylward Academy is most definitely a school on the rise. GCSE outcomes are up, attendance to school is up, student adherence to the school ethos is positive and this is in a context where exclusions from school are minimal. Our community is one where we strongly believe that education is about attaining good qualifications as well as developing young people into active and positive contributors to society. We welcome professionals that are passionate in guiding young people in these crucial years of their development.
