The Model 30

This box is suitable for any location as it has a double thickness, waterproof roof (made of uPVC). The 30° sloping roof should deter predators.

The entry hole size should exclude Starlings.

Nest boxes include an MDF nest form - this simple device has been shown to speed take-up time by nesting Swifts by a year!

For installation. Remove the two screws at the top middle of each end. Drill two holes in the back, screw securely to the wall, and then replace roof.

It is a good idea to place a nest form at the opposite end to the entrance - All ready in place

Swifts prefer nest boxes placed at least 5 metres high. Lower elevations and obstructions in front of the box may reduce success rates.

With it's UPVC double thickness roof, the model 30 is designed to resist both rain and sun, so it can be placed on south facing walls.

Playing attraction calls in or near the nest box increases the chance of success.
