My West London client is looking to recruit a permanent procurement manager into the team with the specific focus on embedding sustainable procurement practices and ensuring that suppliers implement the Net Zero Carbon Supplier Tool, to help measure supplier emissions and maximise its positive impact throughout its buying and contracting activities.
The role holder will be a procurement professional with an in-depth understanding of sustainability and sustainable procurement practice. Reporting into the Head of Procurement and working closely with colleagues in the Estates and Sustainability team (and other key staff working on carbon reduction), your role will be to promote the Net Zero Carbon Supplier Tool and gather, analyse and assess existing data and carbon emission calculation methodologies from suppliers. You will also ensure compliance with applicable procurement legislation, internal sustainable procurement policies and obligations and public procurement best practice. The role holder will also promote sustainable procurement within the Corporate Procurement team, its supply chain and its partner organisations.
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate an excellent knowledge of the procurement life cycle from a sustainable and ethical point of view as well as knowledge of sustainable procurement policies. You will also ideally be working towards your CIPS qualification.
The role is being offered on a permanent part time basis of 20 hours a week and the salary will be pro rata to reflect this.
