Hourly rate: Starting pay £15/hour

Hours/shifts: 20-30 hours per week
Typically 7.30-9.45am and 3-8pm or
3pm- overnight sleep in until 9.45am
Monday-Friday with occasional weekends and differing hours in school holidays.
SUMMARY
We require support for a 15 year old boy in a wheelchair, with complex health needs including daily seizures in need of 1:1 care.
You must be reliable, flexible & hard working.
Candidate must be good with children (Child has 2 siblings ages 9 and 16 years), fun and happy to work in a home with a loving Labrador.
You will be working with a lovely family and be part of a supportive team.
We offer good rates of pay.
This would be great experience for a student nurse/childcare professional interested in working with paediatric complex SEND.
Special needs or nursing background is ideal. Candidates should have epilepsy experience or be keen to learn on the job.
You must be capable to deal with daily seizures and to perform personal care tasks.
Other Requirements
• Good references and full, clean driving license essential.

Preparing medicines
Administering PEG feeds & spoon feeding orally
Puréeing food
Changing pads
Washing and dressing
Managing seizures
Escorting child to and from School in client's own Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle
Community Living Tasks:
The role would include accompanying child & parent on trips to hospitals in Brighton and London for outpatient appointments and occasional admittances by ambulance as well as collecting medicines from local pharmacy.
Tasks also include interactive play at home as well as trips out.
Medical Tasks:
PEG feeds
Drawing up medication and stock control
