We have a rewarding opportunity for you to join our Complex Care Team in Ashford. You will help our brilliant customers to live a fulfilling life in their own home and within the local community.
You will be joining a team of care workers supporting our gentleman customers who have complex support needs. e are looking for an an active support team who can communicate openly as well as engage in outdoor actives.
Typical day as our Support Worker
Helping overcome barriers, supporting him in taking the necessary steps to live a fulfilling and meaningful life and helping him reach his true potential.
Recognising strengths and abilities and helping them take the small steps at their pace, never losing sight of their dreams and aspirations.
Supporting using our Positive Behavioural Support Model, to promote independence and social inclusion through person centred support.
Monitoring mental and physical health to identify any signs of deterioration and take positive risk management to their health and wellbeing.
You Have
Experience in a complex care setting, with a level 2 Diploma in Adult Health and Social Care or are prepared to work towards it.
Worked as a Support Worker, supporting people with complex needs, or behaviours of distress.
A patient and calm approach, able to adapt your style to their needs, as well as the specific occasion and circumstances, even when they challenge us.
Experience of positive risk management, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of customers and colleagues.
Job Details
You'll be working 24/7 help to meet our customers needs, so you?ll take your turn with your team working on a rota. Shifts available include days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays or waking nights. You may also be required to do sleep ins in which an enhancement will be paid. You?ll work primarily with in their own homes in Ashford, as well as supporting him in the community. But there may be opportunities to work with our other customers in Kent. We?ll make sure you have a fantastic induction with ongoing learning support. Ability to use technology to update and create support plans, communicate with colleagues, and complete online learning. You?ll need an Enhanced DBS check done ? we pay for that A place where you belong
