Location: Glasgow, G40 3AP, with opportunity for remote working after probation
Salary: GBP37,285 pa + Benefits

Glasgow Centre for Inclusive Living is run by disabled people and aims to empower disabled people in Glasgow by providing a variety of housing, employment, training, payroll and inclusive living support services.
Support Services Manager - The Role:
Working as part of the management team you will be responsible for GCIL's Support Services and "Take Control" offices.
Engaging with our Support staff across our various offices you will work with our coordinators to ensure our teams continue to provide excellent information, advice and assistance to disabled people (and their supporters) who use self-directed support (SDS) funding.
The Support Services Manager is responsible for ensuring that GCIL's support services are developed in line with GCIL's strategic aims, that they are sustainably funded, and that they provide high quality, efficient and effective services to those who use them.
Tasks and responsibilities:
• Plan and prioritise budgets over the financial year, monitoring and reassessing as required
• Line-manage specific members of staff with regard to setting objectives, professional practice and personal and
professional development.
• In liaison with the HR and Office Manager, ensure that individual and team training and development needs are
identified and collated.
• Develop and manage GCIL's support services, ensuring that a high level of service is provided, both to internal
colleagues and external service users.
• Work with colleagues to establish an inclusive branding and marketing strategy
• Liaise with other staff to contribute to publicity materials, reports and annual reviews as appropriate.
• Represent GCIL on relevant working groups, committees and other forums.
• Develop and respond to new areas of work as opportunities arise.
• Encourage staff and service users as appropriate to be involved in setting strategic priorities for GCIL's support
services.
• Take responsibility for overseeing the implementation of GCIL's Health and Safety policy within the Support Services Department
Support Services Manager - Candidate profile:
This post will require PVG scheme membership.
Essential:
• Degree level or equivalent (experience may be accepted as an alternative)
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Excellent Customer Service, Relation management skills
• Experience of managing a team, directly and remotely
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (in particular Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
• Proven experience of working successfully in a similar or related post offering advice and support to disabled
people on a range of issues including: planning & budgeting
• Experience of self-directed support policy & practice and other key independent living issues.
• Ability to work under own initiative for much of the time
• Able to make positive use of support and supervision when required
• Ability to cope with a varied and complex workload, and to work to tight deadlines.
