Our Global IT client has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Planner, within their hollow core fiber solutions offices.
You will support supplier relationships within their assigned region or product category with guidance from others. Support the enablement and onboarding of new suppliers as part of the fiber integration activities.
Supports logistics operations, analyse cost and service capacity of third-party logistics or contracted providers. Participates in cross-functional engagements to integrate and align operations with manufacturing sites, logistics providers, and business functions.
Supports development of negotiation strategies and objectives as well as materials for use in negotiation procedures. Assist in monitoring supplier performance and provide feedback. Work on request for proposal (RFP) and contracting activities with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, Legal) and ensure contracts meet both price and capacity needs.
You will have an eye for detail when reviewing reports of supplier health, evaluating compliance, and escalate issues or blockers to initiate corrective actions.
Other duties will include carrier management processes, management of internal purchase requisitions and create purchase orders, monitor deliveries and follow through regarding invoices and payments.
You will have demonstrable supply chain management and logistics experience. Procurement and manufacturing/production operation experience.
This role is an hourly PAYE paid position at Circa 14.20 per hour. This is a hybrid role - you will be required on site at our client's offices a min. of 3 days per week, working remotely otherwise. In this role you will benefit from paid annual leave, paid sick, paid bank holidays, pension, 5% bonus potential & notice period.
