I am recruiting a Supply Chain Manager to join a market leading specialist manufacturing business based in North Wales. Reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for overseeing and optimising all aspects of the supply chain process across the UK. This includes managing the flow of goods, services, and information from the point of origin, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, stock accuracy and customer satisfaction.
As part of the Senior Management team, you will collaborate with various departments, suppliers, and logistics partners to develop and implement strategies that enhance the overall supply chain performance. This newly created role would suit an experienced and ambitious Supply Chain Manager, with proven success managing stock within a fast-paced, demanding manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities Include:
Develop and implement supply chain strategies.Analyse current supply chain processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to optimise efficiency, reduce costs and enhance customer satisfaction.Supplier management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.Inventory management: Oversee inventory levels, monitor stock movements, and implement inventory control measures to minimise stockouts and excess inventory.Demand forecasting: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to forecast demand, plan production schedules, and ensure adequate inventory levels to meet customer demands.Continuous improvement: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyse data, and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.Team leadership: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to the supply chain team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.Skills Required:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.Proven experience in supply chain management, preferably in a managerial role.Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, practices, and industry trends.Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong negotiation and communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Strong leadership and team management abilities.Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Benefits:
