Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are currently working with a specialist business in Chesterfield, who are currently seeking a talented and experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead their logistics and distribution efforts.

This is both a hands-on and strategic position, having experience within a warehouse function is essential for this role.

Key duties of the Supply Chain Manager:

Develop and implement supply chain strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performanceCultivate strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, ensuring feedback is taken in to considerationOversee inventory levels, analysing demand patterns, and implementing inventory optimisation strategies to ensure adequate stock while minimising excessLead and mentor a team of direct reports, including coaching, delegating and encouraging the team to solve day-to-day operational issues, and reach short and long-term performance goalsWorking closely with the head of continuous improvement to assess supply chain processes and identify areas for improvementProactively identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptionsManage a monitor KPI performance including time to receipt, picking to ship and breakage and losses The ideal Supply Chain Manager will need the following skills:
