We are looking for third year Accountancy degree (hons) students to assist us in auditing Scottish public sector annual reports and accounts during our summer period. Positions are available in our Glasgow and Edinburgh office. Our 2024 Summer Internship Scheme will run from June to August 2024.

To achieve this, we support the Auditor General for Scotland and the Accounts Commission to provide clear, independent and objective assurance on how effectively public money is being managed and spent. Our work covers about £57bn of public spending, almost 300 public sector accounts, and the services and projects that affect all people and communities in Scotland.

If you are ambitious and have a passion for helping to improve public services in Scotland, we would love to hear from you. You will need:
To be a third-year accountancy student on track for an honours degree
A minimum of National 5 Grade C or GCSE Grade 4/C (or equivalent) in both Maths and English
Strong written communication skills
A good understanding of financial accounting modules completed at university
To have completed at least one auditing module at university by the end of your third year
Good communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work well in a team
Self-awareness and the confidence to work using initiative
Disciplined and organised with good project management skills
Available to work through June to August 2024
