Apricus Resourcing are currently looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and adaptable Drug & Alcohol Specialist Misuse Recovery Worker for an Award-Winning Substance Misuse Criminal Justice Recovery Service based in Lewisham, who are really passionate about providing a personal recovery service. The position available is based on an ongoing locum basis, which may result in a permanent post in the future.

This role is working full time 37.5 hours per week (9am-5pm) ideally part time working may be possible if full time posts not filled, any mileage / travel expenses incurred whilst at work will be compensated.

As a Substance Misuse worker you will be providing support & advice to people who are experiencing difficulties due to Drug & Alcohol misuse. You'll have your own caseload, working as part of our team & alongside other social care services to identify how to help, developing plans with your clients to help them get their lives back on track. There's assessments to carry out & records you need to keep/update, that's all part of our professional commitment approach service to service users & commissioners.

Other duties will include

Drug and alcohol assessments Risk assessments You will need an understanding of titration Providing harm minimisation advice Carrying out opiate substitutes Triage assessment

In return for your commitment, we are able to offer a very competitive rate of pay of between 19.58 - 19.85 per hour dependent on experience, however it may be possible to negotiate above this for candidates with exceptional experience.
