Key Responsibilities:

As a Subsidence Specialist, you will play a crucial role in proactively managing and settling Subsidence claims, handling a caseload that includes both domestic and commercial properties with various values. Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting and influencing teams to ensure best practices are embedded.Sharing technical knowhow and tactical knowledge with team leaders to enhance their skills, knowledge, and confidence in managing Subsidence claims.Attending on–site visits to properties where claimants have reported signs of Subsidence, ability to assist with quantum general perils and major loss claims.Surveying properties, investigating damage, and diagnosing the cause of movement.Providing detailed reports to Subsidence teams within specific timeframes to facilitate swift claim settlements.Collaborating with internal claims handlers and utilizing site packs containing claim details and policy information. Qualifications and Skills:

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and skills:

Experienced in investigating and repairing damaged buildings, with a focus on the diagnosis and mitigation of subsidence movement.Ideally chartered or approaching chartered status with a relevant institution: ICE, IStructE, RICS, CIOB, CILA, BDMA Ins TechExperience in insurance claims handling is desirable, but not essential, as training will be provided.Demonstrated ability to take a decisive approach in handling Subsidence claims.Sound understanding of domestic construction.Knowledgeable with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.Full UK Driving License.
