Aqua-Media publishes a bi-monthly journal on renewable energy (mainly hydropower) and water resources development, as well as an annual Atlas with country reports, and also organizes international conferences in various parts of the world twice a year.

No technical knowledge is required (as subbed material is also checked by others), but rather the ability to untangle badly written English from international contributors.

Specific duties will be:

Sub-editing news and feature articles, proof reading, liaising with authors. Formatting editorial material in QuarkXPress. Helping to research and prepare short country reports on water and energy (sent by professionals in our industry) for the annual book. Posting news and tender announcements on line, and keeping the site updated with news of our company’s activities and other items. Helping to prepare material for our conferences, and coming along to help at the international events twice a year (Africa, Asia and Europe). Liaising with freelance news contributors.

Aqua-Media is based on the border of Wallington and Carshalton, Surrey, and is currently operating a hybrid working arrangement (3 days in the office and 2 days working from home).

Free parking is available outside the building.

There is a company BUPA scheme, and five weeks annual leave. Salary will be based on experience and qualifications, and bonuses are paid for working abroad at international events.
