Working as part of a world-class stewarding team, you will play a vital role in the three pillars of event operations: safety, security, and service. We are looking for engaging steward supervisors who enjoy leading a team to provide exceptional service to all members and spectators that attend Lord's Cricket Ground. This is a key role to ensure the safety and security of all staff, spectators, members and players are never compromised and ensure ground regulations are followed at all times.
Our stewards are crucial to making an amazing first impression, creating an experience that goes beyond just 'service'. We are looking for skilled supervisors that have the expertise and knowledge to lead a team in achieving operational excellence and first-class service. You will act in line with the club's own standards and values: smart, attentive and original.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The demands of the cricket season mean extended hours and intense periods of work - including weekends - and the ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate personal resilience to manage this and still deliver their best work.
The ideal candidates will show strong customer focus, great teamwork and have the ability to work under pressure.
Must hold a Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Spectator Safety or be able to demonstrate equivalent professional experience and must have prior supervisor experience within a Sports Ground or similar management experience.
Skills and ability testing will form part of the selection process
COMMITMENT TO WORK
All match day stewards applying for this position must be available for 75% of major match days including two International Test Matches, One-Day International, T20 Blast fixtures and The Hundred tournament. This equates to working a minimum of 15 out of the 20 major match days in 2024.
