About the Role
As a STEM Outreach Co-ordinator, you'll play a pivotal role in expanding our outreach initiatives, building on existing and creating new strategic links, engaging with schools, colleges, and businesses to inspire the next generation of STEM enthusiasts.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and strengthen relationships with schools, colleges, and out-of-school groups to promote STEM subjects and careersOrganise teacher and STEM Ambassador networking eventsSecure Nuffield Research placements and drive awareness/recruitment of Year 13's in schoolsDevelop strategic links with Space industry businesses, recruiting and activating Space AmbassadorsPlan and Deliver aerospace industry awareness activities through creating engaging contentAdvise and work with teachers and organisers to connect with STEM and SPACE AmbassadorsSupport and develop existing relationships with STEM Ambassadors and businessesRecruit new companies and STEM Ambassadors, ensuring diversity in volunteer representationCollect and evaluate data on Ambassador activities, producing impactful case studiesCollaborate with local and regional STEM Partners and enrichment providersRecord all data on the STEM Learning database and internal documentsAttend meetings, training, and events as requiredOther duties and reporting progress as needed Requirements:
Knowledge of the education sector and local STEM industry awarenessUK driver's license, including insurance cover for business use purposesOffice-based role with travel to schools and other sites across Leicestershire and DerbyshireOccasional travel to meetings and training in the East MidlandsOccasional duties outside normal working hours with overtime paid as time off in lieu. Location: Leicestershire & Derbyshire (Office-based in Leicester)
Salary & Benefits:
Basic Pay: GBP24,000 to GBP25,000 per annumFull-time position (37.5 hours per week, Mon to Fri)Work from home flexibility after probation25 days holiday plus 8 bank public holidaysTime off in Lieu flexible working systemCompany Pension Scheme (10% contribution) Application Deadline: 5pm, Monday 8th January 2024
