These are the actual parts which will be supplied.
Formerly a towable mobile traffic light unit, this trailer is purpose built by Pike Signals Limited. It would have originally featured a small diesel engine, a generator, batteries, traffic lights and light sequencing panel, all held within a soundproofed steel trailer body. None of the mentioned hardware is now present, however this now leaves a very sound steel unit with some remnant bracketry.
Features of note
A pair of hinged lift up steel top lids with stays.
Side opening door on the OS front
All doors/lids are secured with cam closing clasps and optional padlocks.
There is provision to run cables from the inside to the outside without leaving the doors/lids open.
Bolted to the rear of the trailer, is a nicely manufactured galvanised tubular steel carry frame
Bolted to the OS of the body is a useful almost full body length steel storage container.
Two lifting eyes are attached at the highest point along the centre line of the body.
There is provision for a front jockey wheel
Single front tow drawbar along with a fixed ring coupling.
It is wired for rear lights but with the exception of the number plate light, these are no longer present.
The wheels run freely on indespension units
Quite easy for one person to handle.
Most of the panels have sound deadening material still in place but this is easily removed if not required.
Structurally it is very sound
Light rust in places as the images show but it does not, in my opinion, require any welding or panels replacing.
Manufacturers data plate is attached to the drawbar
The trailer body length (shown in white) is approximately 170 cm, the rear frame adds approximately 34 cm
The body width is approximately 120 cm, including mudguards width is 152 cm
Depth of the body is approximately 54 cm at the outer sides, add another 12 cm at the centre near the lifting eye
I can visualise a number of possibilities for this trailer, perhaps the most innovative one would be to convert it into a utility expedition camping trailer capable of transporting all manner of camping equipment and even mountain bikes on the adapted rear frame or lid. This is a 'blank'canvas in many respects, for little outlay and some imagination it could be made comparable with bespoke camping trailers costing thousands.
