On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Solar PV Designer, this is a great opportunity to join an industry-leading, progressive, growing Renewable Energy Company based in the UK, that is dedicated to making a difference in the world.

We are ideally looking for candidates near Bristol, however also happy to consider candidates looking for Hybrid or fully remote.

The Job

You will be responsible for photovoltaic (PV) system designs, instructing surveys, planning applications, grid connection applications, and refining system proposals. You will work closely with operational delivery teams, salespeople and customers to ensure designs meet the requirements and comply with the current regulations and standards in the UK.

Responsibilities

Design PV systems for mainly industrial and agricultural applications.Prepare single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, and shading analyses.Perform system performance evaluations and yield calculations.Prepare and review detailed drawings and specifications for construction projects, according to engineering sketches and design proposal specifications.Assist with permit submission and coordinate with utility companies for grid connection.Work with the sales and installation teams to develop design modifications as needed.Provide technical support and training to other team members.

Requirements

Degree level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or similar.Previous experience designing solar PV systems.Proficiency in using CAD and PV Sol softwareStrong knowledge of UK building regulations and industry standards.Understanding of PV system components and their specifications.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly.

Salary and Package
