Site Representative - Foundations Marshalling Port required for a major Offshore Wind Farm Developer based in England.
Responsibilities
To be present at the Contractor's Marshalling Port (Port of Tyne, Tyneside) and provide monitoring of their works with the primary focus being the management of Health and Safety.Monitoring and inspections of the works to ensure they are being conducted in accordance with the Contractors Safe Systems of Work (SSoW), written instructions and in compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practice.Ensure that the Secondary Structures are being stored in accordance with accepted plans and that they are being suitable preserved;Reporting on any further damage/defects to the Secondary Structures following the transport from their respective suppliers and during their storage at the Marshalling Facility.Witnessing any completions activities (as required by the ITP) performed by the Contractor at the Marshalling Port and track the respective List of Open Points and Punch List Items as required.Attend and where relevant chair daily and weekly meetings attended by the Foundation Package Management Team.Raising alerts to any perceived trends relating to HSE risks or transgressions developing onshore as they arise.Promptly identify and notify on any construction issue that may arise or have the potential to arise during the works and shall aid in resolving any issues where applicable.Provide input to the Foundation Package Manager's monthly report e.g. progress, programme and risks at the Marshalling Port.Support the Foundation Package Contract Manager on reporting of progress for Payment Applications/Certificates for milestone completion proof / confirmation and with valuation of Variation Orders and Claims.Attend weekly progress meetings with the Contractor's site management (as required).Support the Quality and T&I Manager to complete necessary inspection and documentation as required as part of the quality assurance process.Produce the daily report summarising progress, days inspection activities along with any quality and resource concerns.Support the Foundation Package Manager with the evaluation and management of risks associated with the foundation fabrication package.Requirements
CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) accredited.IOSH Managing Safely or CITB SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).Preferably have a Steel Fabrication/Inspection Qualifications; e.g. CSWIP Welding Engineering, NDT Qualification, BGAS/CSWIP Coating qualification.All GWO's including medical with Chester step test would be advantageous.Extensive experience providing similar services in offshore renewables (preferably under an EPCI Contract environment).An excellent understanding of construction practices, heavy lifting, marine management completion/sub assembly activities and inspection experience.Proven experience in the serial fabrication and pre-assembly of offshore steel structures (preferably WTG monopile foundations).Demonstrable knowledge in all aspects of steelwork fabrication, welding, inspection, coating and construction.Conversant with international codes, procedures and specifications.An understanding of the appointed rolls under CDM (2015) and UK Health and Safety requirements.
