Salary: Up to 40,000 per annum plus Veolia benefits

Hours: Continental shift pattern. 3 days of 12 hour shifts, 3 days off and then 3 nights of 12 hours shifts. Breaks of 9 days and 18 days are built into the shift pattern

What you'll be doing;

As a Shift Operator you will be responsible for operating a Combined Heat & Power (CHP) plant consisting of a High Pressure Industrial Steam Boilers, Gas Turbine, a water treatment plant and compressed air system. This role is lone working as part of a 5 person shift team operating 24/7.

Operate plant and control systems effectively

Operator asset care

Fast problem identification and resolution

To be responsible for all activities taking place within the combined heat and powerplant area - monitoring the safety and quality performance of groups of third party contractors

Preparation and authorisation of Permit To Work's (PTW)

Investigate problems and opportunities for improvement in the operation of the plant and propose solutions to day support personnel

Compliance with regulatory requirements including SOPs

What we're looking for;

Previous experience of operating Industrial Steam Boilers is essential

Appreciation of CHP Plant Operation

"Operator" level under the industrial boiler operation, maintenance and safety awareness course is desirable but not essential

Use of PTW systems and associated safety documents

Health and Safety awareness.
